A website and ordering for food trucks
Guests need one thing first: where are you today? The site shows the week's spots on a map, and anyone who wants to can order on their phone and collect at the hatch.
- The week's spots on a map
- Free site, no time limit
- 0% fee on orders
A food truck has to answer one thing before anything else: where are you today? The site shows the week's spots on a map with today's marked, and guests can order on their phone and pick it up at the hatch when they arrive.
- The week's spots on a map
- Today's spot marked
- Directions in one tap
- A menu that always matches
- Order ahead
- Stamp card
The week's spots on a map — today's is marked
You type in the day, the place and the time. The site draws the pins, marks today's spot and puts directions behind each row. The guest wondering where you are gets the answer without messaging you, and you skip making a new picture every morning.
The same menu at the hatch and on the site
You enter the menu once. It shows on the site, in the QR menu at the hatch and in the order — change a price and it changes everywhere at once.
The difference from posting your spot in a story
A story disappears after a day and only reaches the people already following you. The one standing in the square googling lunch never sees it.
- The spot sits in a story that disappears
- Only followers know where you are
- The menu is a photo from last spring
- Guests DM you to ask where you are
- The spots stay on a page that can be found
- The map shows the whole week, today's marked
- The menu is the same at the hatch and on the site
- The guest sees the answer — and can order on the way
The site free, ordering when you want it
What food truck owners ask
How do we show where we are parked?
You enter the week's spots once — day, place and time. The site draws them on a map, marks today's spot and puts directions behind each one. Move somewhere else and you change the line; the guest sees it straight away. No new picture to make on your phone every morning.
What does it cost?
The site with your spots is free on an address with us (your-restaurant.goboblo.site) — no time limit, no card. If you want to take orders it is $29 a month, and the first month is free. Goboblo takes 0% on the orders themselves; you only pay the card fee, straight to Stripe. It is all on the pricing page.
We only sell at the hatch. Do we need ordering at all?
Not at all — plenty of trucks run just the spots and the menu at first. Ordering gets interesting when the queue gets long: the guest places the order on the way over and collects ready food instead of standing tenth in line. You can switch it on whenever you like and off when it gets too hectic.
We only have Instagram today. Is that enough?
Instagram reaches the people already following you. It does not reach the one standing in the square searching for lunch. A page with your menu, your spots and your hours is what can actually be found — and it gets built from what you enter anyway, not by a web agency.
Can the guest pay on their phone while standing there?
Payment while the guest is at the truck belongs in your till. A purchase made on the phone on the spot counts as a serving service that has to be registered in your cash register in the Nordics — we are not putting that requirement on you. Order and collect is for food ordered ahead.
Does the stamp card work when we move around?
Yes, and it is worth more to a truck than to most: the guest who finds you at one spot on Monday can follow you to another on Wednesday. The card lives on the phone and is free up to 150 guests.
The rest of the system
The spots live on the restaurant website, built from the same menu as the QR menu at the hatch. Guests who come back collect on the stamp card — the same card wherever the truck is parked that day.
