Choose tonight's matches and set the screen, channel and kick-off. Each TV gets its own match list in the floor plan.

Mark which tables and sections see the screen. Now Goboblo knows which seats have a view of the match.

The guest picks a match in the booking and gets a time and a seat in front of a screen showing it — without guessing which table sees the match.

Tie every table to the screen it sees

Goboblo ties every table to the screen it sees, one or several. When a party wants to watch the match, smart seating suggests a table in front of that screen first, so you fill the best seats without guessing. Letting the guest pick the exact table is a separate choice per venue, explained in choose your table when booking.

Goboblo pulls in the TV listings for you in the United Kingdom, Ireland, the United States, Austria, Sweden, Norway and Denmark. In the UK that covers football plus rugby union and league, darts, snooker, boxing, cricket, golf and more.

In the Matches tab you see upcoming fixtures a week, two weeks, four weeks or a month ahead, pick the ones you show and put them on the right screen. The week's top matches are already picked out — one tap on Add all adds them.

No match opens for booking until you've added it. You also add matches by hand.

Guest booking, in the real widget

The guest picks the match – Goboblo finds a seat with a view

The match choice becomes part of the booking alongside date, time and party size. The guest picks when to arrive, up to two hours before kick-off, and doesn't pick an exact table — you seat the party in front of a screen showing the match. For Manchester United–Chelsea at The Lantern the guest also sees the match rules: a card guarantee of £10 per person, charged only on a no-show, and a minimum spend of £25 per person.

What it can look like on your own website

The Lantern is our example sports bar in Manchester, and its website shows this week's matches and takes bookings straight from Goboblo. The same site runs Goboblo's restaurant event booking for the Pub Quiz, restaurant gift cards and a digital stamp card for restaurants inside the bar's own design, so guests book without leaving the site.

Match queue

Offer the right free seat to the right waiting guest

Goboblo ties the queue to the match. The Peterson Party, waiting for Manchester United–Chelsea, joins the queue for that match, and staff offer a seat from it — Goboblo only shows tables with a view of the right screen. When a match booking is cancelled, an offer goes by email to the next guest in the queue for that match, if you switch on automatic offers. The match queue works like Goboblo's restaurant waitlist, but per match.

No-show protection

Fewer empty tables in front of the most sought-after screens

Goboblo sends every booking a confirmation and a reminder by email (or text if you switch texts on), with one tap to confirm or cancel. When a table frees up, staff offer it to the queue, so a seat in front of the big screen doesn't sit empty at kick-off. Build a package for one match, a league, a team or every match. At The Lantern, “Match night: table + burger” is two seats by the big screen with a burger and a soft drink each for £24.90, and “Derby day for four” is £49.90. The guest picks the package when booking the table and pays straight away, so the food is already sold before they walk in.

Returning supporters

See which matches bring the guest back

Every completed booking updates a guest profile you own. The guest profile shows which teams the guest follows, drawn from past match bookings. With the right consent you can filter your messages by team or league and reach supporters ahead of the right match — without paying commission for a relationship you already have.

The profiles sit in Goboblo's restaurant CRM software, in a guest database you own. Pair it with Goboblo's restaurant loyalty program software and a stamp card brings supporters back for the next derby.

What is a sports bar booking system?

A sports bar booking system takes table bookings online, shows a live floor plan and handles the waitlist and walk-ins on match nights. Goboblo adds what a sports bar needs: you choose which matches are shown, tie every TV to the right tables and let guests pick a match when they book. The core is the same as a restaurant booking system.

How does a guest pick which match to watch?

The guest picks the match in the booking: “I want to watch a match” opens the list with teams, kick-off time and competition. The guest then picks when to arrive, up to two hours before kick-off. The guest doesn't pick an exact table — Goboblo seats the party in front of a screen showing the match.

Does the guest have to pick an exact table?

No. By default the guest picks a match and a time, and Goboblo suggests or assigns a table in front of the right screen. You decide per venue whether the guest can also choose a table, pick a section, or just choose a match and time.

How are tables tied to TV screens?

The floor plan ties tables to TV screens: you put the match on a screen and mark the tables that see it. Goboblo uses that link when it seats match bookings and when it shows free seats to the guest, so you fill the best seats without two parties landing at the same table in front of the big match.

Can several matches be shown at once?

Yes. Each screen keeps its own match list: the Premier League on the big screen and at the bar, and Premiership rugby in the booths. The floor plan shows which match is on which screen and how many parties are booked for each match.

Does Goboblo pull in the matches automatically?

Yes. Goboblo pulls in the TV listings for the seven countries it covers and lists the upcoming fixtures in the Matches tab. You pick the matches you show, and no match opens for booking until you've added it.

Which sports and countries are supported?

You add any match by hand — any sport, league or country. In the countries where Goboblo pulls in the TV listings, upcoming fixtures are ready to pick.

Does Goboblo work without a till integration?

Yes. Goboblo runs as the sports bar's own booking system with no link to a till or staff rota — booking, floor plan, match choice, screen control, waitlist and guest profiles are included. You connect more systems when you need them, such as your website, Google Business Profile, email, texts and calendar.

Can I use Goboblo on my existing website?

Yes. You embed the restaurant booking widget on your own website or put a booking link in your Google Business Profile and social channels. Guests book directly with you. No website? You make a free restaurant website in Goboblo at an address like your-restaurant.goboblo.site, with your matches, your menu and booking on it. Your own domain is £25 a month, excl. VAT.

How are cancellations and the match queue handled?

Cancellations take one tap: every booking gets an automatic confirmation and a reminder by email (or text if you switch texts on), with a link where the guest confirms or cancels. When a match booking is cancelled, an offer goes by email to the next guest in the queue for that match, with a view of the right screen — if you switch on automatic offers.
